Terms of Service

Please read the terms of service before commissioning - you need to confirm you’ve read them to order a commission.

Section one: Payment

1. Prices are in GBP. Payment through PayPal only. Payment is expected within 48 hours of sending the invoice / within 48 hours of approving the sketch. If you need more time, it’s totally fine but please let me know approximately how long - it’s important to help me schedule my work for the week/month.2. Partial payment (at least 50%) is required before I start your commission. The remaining payment is required after you have approved the sketch. You can pay full upfront if you prefer.3. If you’re on the waiting list, payment isn’t required until I’m available to start your commission.

Section Two: Commission Conditions

4. The references you provide must be visual and with at least one in full colour. I don’t accept descriptions as references (except for poses). Photos are fine for outfits, animals, backgrounds or when commissioning real people.5. I have the right to refuse commissions.6. (Does not apply to YCH commissions). I will show you the sketch to approve before finishing the commission. You can request changes to the sketch at this stage (including character poses) - after a revised sketch is shown, if you want more changes there may be extra charge. (Any mistakes on my end, such as incorrect design of the characters, are totally free!)7. I only accept minor detail changes and corrections once the commission is completed.8. Regular commissions are for personal use only. For commercial use see Section Four.

Section Three: Cancellation and Refunds

9. No refunds once I have completed your commission.10. If you want to cancel the commission once I’ve already started on it, you will receive a 50% refund for the work already done.11. If I need to cancel the commission for any personal reasons, you will receive a full refund.12. If we’ve agreed on partial payment and you cancel the commission once I’ve already started, you won’t be refunded the first charge and the 2nd will be cancelled.

Section Four: Commercial License

13. You must tell be beforehand if you intend to use the commission for any commercial or business means.14. You must tell be exactly how you intend to use my artwork including:
- exact usage
- duration
- location (physical or online)15. Commercial use includes any time my artwork would be used for a brand, including online use.16. I retain all copyrights over my artwork and you must adhere to the terms of the usage license that we agree on.

Section Five: Usage

17. I will only use your commission for online self-promotion in social media posts or commission examples. If you want a private commission, please ask beforehand. I retain all copyrights for all commissioned artwork.18. For personal commissions, you are free to repost online but please credit me. You don’t have permission to reproduce or edit my artwork in any other way.

IMPORTANT: I only accept one of this type of commission at a time. If I’m unavailable to work on your commission request, I will let you know I’ve received your email, add you to a waitlist, and will contact you at a later date when ready. Not first come first serve.

I’ll always let you know if I have any problems and expect to take longer.Full paint commissions take more time, so please allow 2-3 months for me to complete your commission request.You can expect responses from me within 24-48 hours, and I expect the same level of communication in return. If you need more time with payment or approving the commission at any stage, please let me know as it helps me schedule and manage my workload. I do other freelance work and it’s important for me to know approximately the time frame I can complete each commission.
